Our lovely garden has three distinct areas: relax on the small patio with a cup of tea, enjoy a meal on the larger grassed area, or retreat to the peaceful hidden bench at the back of the garden.

Hello, we're Jane and Stephen, owners of Joyful Cottage, a charming two-bedroom retreat in the heart of Milford On Sea.

​

The first floor has a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and a twin bedroom which can accommodate a travel cot.

​

The ground floor has a cosy living room with a log-burning stove, a snug with a Chesterfield sofa, and a large kitchen/diner perfect for dining with family or friends around the farmhouse-style table.

A few things to note

  • During your stay, you are welcome to bring up to three dogs. To ensure the comfort of all our guests, we kindly ask that your pets refrain from going upstairs or onto the sofas.

  • Please note that our staircase might be a bit steep due to the age of our property, which could be challenging for people with mobility issues.

  • To maintain a smoke-free environment for everyone, we kindly request that guests do not smoke or vape or charge their vapers.

  • We don't allow blow-up mattresses.

  • Please also note that we do not have electric car charging facilities yet

  • We provide one travel cot for families with young children, and you're welcome to bring another along.

  • We require a 25% deposit upon booking, with the remainder due no less than six weeks before your stay. If you book less than six weeks before your stay, full payment will be due immediately.
